Location of the house special. It is new and green built island, located in the north of the Netherlands and near the town Amsterdam. The island will be filled with exclusive villas and a tennis club. Studionnedots have built this house for a young family. This black box is filled with elegance, warmth and a little cold because of the massive concrete structure. The key design elements of the house were light and views. The design is extremely rich - from warm wood to cold iron. The house was completed in January of 2014.
Kavel 1 house occupies a most extraordinary place. This parcel of land in the form of diamond is at the top of the island, surrounded by water with a spectacular view on the park. The house is partly built underground where there is a guest room, bathroom, storage, study, and children’s games room and cinema. Of course architects have ensured that the sun's rays reach up to this part of the house - along the south facade, the ground is carved out to permit sunlight into the basement; from below, this opens up views over the garden.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a living room. Bedroom is surrounded by glass, so while you wake up, you feel like you woke up in the middle of nature. Spectacular concrete structure enabled them to create a base with maximum transparency, without any pillars. This increases the transparency of interaction with nature and the relationship between interior and exterior. On the south side of the glass façade bends inward, creating an intimate and covered terrace. The contrast between the concrete and bent glass facade reflects the changes in nature.
